First, according to me, listening to the voices of nature are the best exercise for the brain such as the voice of birds, slow music with closed eyes, and listening to the wind, etc. This practice of listening can train your mind because it increases your focusing power. It gives you internal peace. Second, you have to push yourself what you need more than what you want. The meaning of this line is you should leave your comfort zone for some time so that you can do whatever you want to do.
